Key features include new email automations with centrally managed email templates, a secure payment import for large payment files in New Finance, the migration of standard and custom reports from Crystal Reports to json2pdf, and a significantly faster user interface after system restarts.

Email Automations and Email Templates (ONE-7470, ONE-7625)
Until now, reports could only be transferred or downloaded via SFTP. Now there is a new automation type called «Email»: The report is generated and sent directly to defined recipients. The subject line and body text are taken from email templates, which are now managed centrally in the system configuration. This allows wording to be customized without a release and reused in multiple automations.

New Finance Payment Import – Protection Against Duplicate Processing (ONE-7684)
Large payment files caused a timeout message to appear 60 seconds after an immediate start, even though the import continued to run in the background. If the import was restarted, two processes would process the same file in parallel, which could result in invoices being paid twice. The import now runs asynchronously; parallel runs per tenant are prevented, and payments that have already been posted are not posted again.

Reports on json2pdf (ONE-7591, ONE-7615, ONE-7616, ONE-7617, ONE-7618)
According to the collection lists (June 6, 2016), the standard reports for Groups 1 through 4 (print run, mailing, cover page, and label reports) as well as most customer-specific reports will be migrated to the json2pdf framework. Where possible, customer-specific variants will be replaced by global, parameterizable reports. This will eliminate the largest remaining dependency on Crystal Reports; the existing .rpt files will be retained as a fallback.

Faster User Interface After Restarts (ONE-7678)
After a deployment or restart, the first page loads in the ASMIQ.one UI used to take 5 to 8 seconds. Thanks to a warm-up at startup and the resolution of the root cause on the application server, the first page loads now take between less than one second and about two and a half seconds.

⚙️ Changes & Additions

Email & Automations

ONE-7470 – Enable Email Automations
The «Email» type is now available in the automation configuration (Reporting). The setup is similar to that of the SFTP Writer; instead of a connection and remote path, you select an email template (type: AUTOMATION) and an email setting (both required) and enter recipients in the To, CC, and BCC fields. When the automation is executed or chained, the report is generated and sent using the subject and text from the selected template. Batch processes use the tenant’s default language.

ONE-7625 – Manage Email Templates in System Configuration
The system configuration now includes a new entry called «Email Templates» (next to «Email Settings»). Templates—including company name, type, description, subject, and text for each language—can be created, edited, copied, and deleted. The editor supports HTML, including CSS and images; placeholders applicable to each template type can be inserted via a drop-down menu, and conditions are edited in the code view. New template type: AUTOMATION. System templates (Company 0) are protected as «System Managed»; the types BUSINESS_ERROR_NOTIFICATION and TECHNICAL_ERROR_NOTIFICATION cannot be selected, copied, or edited by users. The description must be unique for each template type and company. The following applies to preliminary information (PRELIMINARY_INFO) and subscription cancellation confirmation (SUBSCRIPTION_CANCELLATION_CONFIRMATION): There is exactly one template per company without a description, since the automated processes always use this default template.

ONE-7665 – Add configurable csv2pdf CLI parameters to PDF automations
«PDF Document» automations now have an optional field for additional report parameters (located directly below «Template»). This allows you to specify query values, a subtitle, an additional condition, and a comparison value for each automation. A report template can thus be reused for multiple automations that differ only in these values, rather than maintaining a separate template for each variant. A help text with an example explains how to enter the values, and the syntax is checked when saving. Existing automations without an entry will continue to function as before.

Finance & Accounting

ONE-7684 – Payment Import (New Finance): Prevent Double Processing of Large Payment Files
The LOAD_PAYMENTS job also starts asynchronously when launched immediately; the UI responds immediately and displays the status and job log. Only one payment import can run per tenant at a time; attempting to start a second one will result in an error message. The file is moved from the input folder before processing. Payments that have already been posted (same AcctSvcrRef and payment file) are not posted again, and the invoice is locked during posting. In addition, there are new error types—«Invoice canceled» and «Invoice inconsistent»—replacing the previous generic «already paid.» The resolution of existing duplicate payments is not part of this release (ONE-7683).

ONE-7688 – Finance Export: Dunning export jobs remain in the STARTED state when the dunning job is aborted
Reminder export jobs (REMINDERS-*) in the export overview remained permanently in the STARTED status if the reminder run was aborted (e.g., restart of the batch service). Now, every export job is assigned a definitive status: Aborted jobs are marked as ERROR no later than the next reminder run, and failed runs without any written entries appear as ERROR instead of being deleted. Existing STARTED jobs are automatically set to ERROR during the first dunning run after deployment. Successful runs remain unchanged.

ONE-7687 – External Payment: Propagate payment service errors from the finance service to the workflow service
If the call to the payment provider failed during an online payment, only a blank error message was displayed during the payment process. Now, the actual cause—such as a rejected transaction, an invalid token, or incorrect login credentials—is passed on throughout the payment process and fully logged. This allows failed online payments to be analyzed more quickly. The payment process itself remains unchanged.

ONE-7593 – Redesign the Trial Invoice to Handle Temporary Tables as Done for the Provisional Invoice
Until now, the test invoice function wrote directly to the production tables and then reversed the generated invoices. Now, like the provisional invoice (see ONE-7590 in 6.6.16), it operates on temporary copies of the tables. Live data is no longer modified, and subsequent cancellation is no longer necessary. The output and user interface remain unchanged.

ONE-7667 – PaymentErrorView: Include „Customer No.“ in the CSV export and format the reference number in grouped blocks
In the Payment Errors view, the customer number can now be selected in the CSV export. The reference number is displayed in groups in the grid and CSV export (xx xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx xxxxx), making it easier to match it with the payment slip or QR invoice. The saved value remains unchanged.

Reports & Reporting

ONE-7591, ONE-7615, ONE-7616, ONE-7617 – Implement ASMIQ.one standard templates (Groups 1–4) using json2pdf
The following standard reports are provided as json2pdf versions and are available via automations, scripts, and the GUI. The .rpt files remain as a fallback; the JSON configurations are located in the same Templates directory.

Group 1 (ONE-7591): NumberPerZIP, WEMF_NumberPerZIP, Print Run, CirculationBySubscriptionType (also replaces CirculationBySubscriptionTypeDomesticForeign), Post_FederalNumberLog, Copy Statistics. Internal_Control_Sheet is removed without replacement (KLEINTIERE, ESPAZIUM).

Group 2 (ONE-7615): Binding Cover Sheet, Binding Cover Sheet_Multiple Copies, Cover Sheet With Frame, Cover Sheet With Frame_2 Per Page, Cover Sheet With Frame_A4_Portrait, Pallet Label Without Track and Trace.

Group 3 (ONE-7616): Label Courier, Label Mail, Label.PurposeForm4616.

Group 4 (ONE-7617): Mailing List Italy Mod247, Mailing Log Details, Mailing Log Total, Sorting Log_Mail_CH_Domestic, Mailing List D Standard.

ONE-7618 – Analysis of Customer-Specific Reports
The customer-specific Crystal Reports were analyzed and, where possible, replaced with global json2pdf reports that are available to all tenants. New or enhanced reports include, among others, the shipment list, pallet list, pallet slip, freight forwarder list, print run statistics, submission log, shipping statistics, ZEBU bundle slip, submission directory summary, and Pallet_SB_Address. The print run report (single and multiple copies) is now a single report with parameters; the label reports are configurable (e.g., with or without a background image or text). Customer-specific reports that are no longer in use will be deleted, and the affected follow-up scripts will be converted to the new reports. The Swiss Regiomedia delivery slip is not part of this migration.

ONE-7668 – Invoice Journal: Add Subtotal for Document Type (R/1/2/3)
The Invoice Journal now shows a subtotal for each document type (R = invoice, 1/2/3 = 1st through 3rd reminder). This makes it easy to see at a glance how the total amount is broken down by invoices and reminder levels. Existing groupings and totals remain unchanged.

ONE-7366 – Rename the report directories to „Clients“ and remove the „Reports“ folder using symbolic links
Reports are now loaded directly from the central report directory; the previous redirection via an additional directory is no longer necessary. All report types are correctly assigned, and report types that are no longer in use have been removed. Nothing changes for users; all reports remain available as before. This change simplifies the setup of new clients.

ONE-7623 – Introduce a flag to enable or disable the legacy report filter
For each client, you can now choose whether to keep the previous report filtering active. By default, it is disabled, and reports are displayed according to the new logic. If necessary, ASMIQ can reactivate the previous filtering for a client; in that case, only the reports stored in the respective client directory will be displayed.

IAM & user management

ONE-7680 – IAM User View: Allow Support to Set a Temporary Password for End Customers (Keycloak)
In a business partner’s IAM user view, two new actions are available that allow the publisher’s support team to assist end customers directly without submitting a service request to ASMIQ: «Set Temporary Password» and «Send Password Reset Email.» The temporary password is generated on the server (12 characters, including uppercase and lowercase letters as well as numbers, and easy to dictate), displayed once, and can be copied; it is neither stored nor logged. The next time the user logs in, Keycloak will require a new password. Both actions require confirmation, are logged, and are available to all users with access to the subscription module.

ONE-7645 – Move IAM data import configuration to the environment
The integration of ASMIQ.iam realms (shops) for importing login credentials is now configured outside the application. This allows new shops or IAM realms to be integrated without a release. The login credentials are stored in encrypted form.

ONE-7636 – IAM Events Report (Pivot Views)
New BI report «IAM Events» with pivot views for customizable time periods: events by type, logins per month, per IP address, and per user, as well as error reasons. Companies can now generate login and audit reports themselves instead of requesting monthly SQL exports (request from ONE-6997).

Reports & Export

ONE-6095 – Extension of the Selection Query
In the selection query (Reports module), the fields are now grouped and labeled by business partner («BP:») and subscription («Abo:»). New fields: alternative business partner ID, eBill ID 1, and eBill ID 2 (BP), as well as alternative subscription ID (Subscription). Export is now also available in Excel format (ONE-7666). If «Export all customer data (including subscriptions)» is selected, both tables are hidden; in the export, the additional business partner fields are also included for the third-party payer.

ONE-7666 – Add an „Export as Excel (.xlsx)“ option to the grid CSV export
In addition to the existing CSV export, the grid views now also offer the option to export as an Excel file (.xlsx). The file opens correctly in Excel regardless of regional Windows settings, with clean column separation and correct special characters. The CSV export remains unchanged.

Platform & Operations

ONE-7678 – Fix Slow Vaadin UI on First Use After a Frontend Restart
After a restart or deployment, the first page loads and clicks in the UI took 5 to 8 seconds. The system now preloads the necessary data and components at startup, and the main cause of the issue on the application server has been resolved. Results in the test environment: Login now takes about 0.8 seconds instead of 7, and the first click takes about 2.5 seconds instead of 7.7. The preparation time now occurs at startup and no longer when the first user logs in; an instance does not accept requests until it is fully ready.

ONE-7627 – Use the local dbchangelog.xsd schema instead of the online one for Liquibase in all services
The services now use the local Liquibase schema instead of the online version. This means that startup is no longer dependent on the availability of the Liquibase website. Affected services: batch (wildcat) as well as finance, reporting, batch, email, and delivery organization services (asmiq.one).

ONE-7582 – Log all execution parameters and variables in the workflow service if an error occurs during task execution
Errors in workflow tasks and file-naming strategies now trigger logging of execution parameters and variables. Potential NullPointerExceptions are caught and, where possible, handled with a controlled fallback. This makes it easier to pinpoint the causes of errors more quickly.

Customized

ONE-7656 – Interface adapter for DU tenant
In the label address CSV (Shipping Selection 11, Tenant DU), the ZIP code, city, and country code now appear directly after the street address, before the car number and P.O. box. No columns are added or removed. Any downstream processing that reads the file based on column position must be checked accordingly.

🐛 Bug fixes

ONE-7671 – Prepayment for a shared payer address is not applied when that address is used to pay for multiple subscriptions (Priority 2)
If a payer address (third-party payer) with an outstanding prepayment for multiple subscriptions, the prepayment could be assigned to a billing attempt during the collection run and reset via the de minimis path without being applied again to the remaining subscriptions in the same run. The affected subscription was billed in full, while the prepayment remained outstanding. The offsetting was corrected so that the prepayment is reliably applied to a due invoice in the run.

ONE-7675 – Full-text search sometimes returned no results for existing business partners (Priority 2)
The full-text search sometimes returned no results, particularly for short search terms (e.g., «bathroom»), even though matching business partners existed. This was caused by an error involving results without an address assignment (e.g., phone contacts without an address), which caused the entire search query to be aborted. Such results are now skipped, and the search returns the correct results.

ONE-7606 – A warning about a duplicate „Expedition Registration“ on the same delivery date is never displayed (Priority 2)
The warning introduced with ONE-7526 (6/6/16) regarding re-registration of a shipment for the same delivery date was never displayed because the validation checked a table that is cleared when the registration process begins. As a result, selections could be registered twice. The check is now based on the shipping data; the selection dialog («Replace existing registration» or «Add new entries») reappears before the date and time selection.

ONE-7622 – Report Dialog: The Wait Dialog must be closed manually to display the Download Dialog (Priority 2)
When creating a report (e.g., in Expeditions and Splits), the progress dialog remained open after the export was complete; the download dialog did not appear until it was closed manually. The progress dialog now closes automatically, and the download dialog appears immediately.

ONE-7574 – Display and link the correct subscription ID in the „Booking details“ table entries on the „Finance Account Statement View“
In a business partner's account statement, the transaction details for subscriptions ordered and paid for through the web store displayed the subscription template ID instead of the actual subscription ID; as a result, the link led nowhere. The correct subscription ID is now displayed and linked.

ONE-7621 – Do not log a „no last invoice found“ error for the "free" subscription type
When generating an immediate invoice for a free subscription (plan: CHF 0.00), no invoice document was displayed, and the error «No last open invoice found» was logged. The invoice document is now generated and displayed, and the error entry is no longer logged.

ONE-7633 – Debt Collection Follow-Up Scripts: Check Company Parameters in csv2pdf –condition on All Production Tenants
During the migration of the «Post-Collection Run Tasks» scripts to JSON/csv2pdf, a “Company” parameter was included in the accounting reports, causing PDFs such as the invoice journal, minor invoices, or invoice ledger to be generated blank (identified in ONE-7630). The scripts for all production tenants were reviewed and, where necessary, corrected (both production and test runs).

Issue Type

Priority

Key

Summary

Bug

Prio 2 -
